Chidimma Adetshina Triumphs in Nigerian Beauty Pageant After South African Rejection

Chidimma Adetshina has been crowned the winner of the Miss Universe Nigeria 2024 pageant.

According to Nigeria News 247, Chidimma was previously compelled to withdraw from a South African beauty pageant.

The 23-year-old law student returned to Nigeria after deciding to compete in the event.

Her withdrawal from Miss South Africa 2024 was sparked by a xenophobic backlash against her nationality.

Guy Murray-Bruce, President of the Silverbird Group, which organizes the competition, announced Adetshina as the winner during the grand finale held on Saturday night at Eko Hotels & Suites in Lagos.

Representing Taraba State, Adetshina emerged victorious in the fiercely contested competition, which featured 25 participants.
