JUST IN: Veteran Nollywood Actor Olu Jacobs Reportedly Dead

Veteran Nollywood actor Olu Jacobs has reportedly passed away, Nigeria News 247 has gathered.

This news was announced by Public Relations and Media Strategist Cornel Osigwe on Sunday.

“Rest In Peace The Great Man Olu Jacobs,” Osigwe posted on his official Facebook page.

Oludotun Baiyewu Jacobs, professionally known as Olu Jacobs, was born on 11 July 1942. He was a veteran Nigerian actor and film executive who starred in several British television series and international films.

Jacobs was widely regarded as one of the greatest and most respected African actors of his generation. Alongside Pete Edochie, he was considered by many in the media, film industry, and among critics and other actors to be one of the most influential African actors of all time, and he was seen as a cultural icon. He served as a bridge between the old and new generations of actors.
