1. Bandits ambushed soldiers on patrol in Gudu Local Government Area of Sokoto State, killing four and injuring two others in an attack this weekend.

2. Several top officials of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria have been arrested by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission over the alleged mismanagement or diversion of N90bn, which was released by the Federal Government to subsidize the 2024 Hajj pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia.

3. Police Commands in several northern states have begun prosecuting protesters arrested during the 10-day #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protest. Over 1,000 individuals were detained during the recent hunger protest.
