1. After nearly six months of negotiations, the Federal Government, Labour, and the Organised Private Sector (OPS) agreed on Thursday to a new national minimum wage of N70,000. This new wage, pending approval by the National Assembly and presidential assent, will replace the current N30,000 minimum wage that was implemented in 2019.
2. On Thursday, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) resumed dollar sales to Bureaux De Change (BDC) operators, planning to disburse $20,000 to each licensee. This forex injection aims to curb distortions, boost market liquidity, and stabilize the naira.
