The Akwa Ibom State Government has announced the passing of Mrs. Patience Umo Eno, the wife of the Governor, due to illness.
She peacefully departed at the hospital on September 26, 2024, surrounded by her family.
The family has expressed their acceptance of God’s will and requests prayers and support from the community during this challenging time.
A statement from the State Commissioner for Information, Ini Ememobong, indicates that the family will share additional details as appropriate.
They also ask for privacy as they grieve their beloved wife, mother, and grandmother.
Governor Umo Eno extends his gratitude to everyone who has supported his family during this period and reassures citizens that his dedication to serving the state remains strong, despite this profound personal loss.
