The National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced the suspension of National Publicity Secretary Debo Ologunagba and National Legal Adviser Kamaldeen Ajibade, SAN.

Since 2023, the PDP has faced internal challenges, with Ologunagba and Ajibade recently calling on National Chairman Umar Damagum to follow the party’s constitution in its operations.

In a statement released early Friday, PDP National Director of Publicity Chinwe Nnorom noted that a committee has been formed to investigate the issues raised against the two officials. This committee will be chaired by Deputy National Chairman (South) Taofeek Arapaja.

“To ensure compliance with the party’s Constitution, the NWC has established a committee, led by Deputy National Chairman (South) H.E. Amb. Taofeek Arapaja, to investigate the concerns raised against these officers.”

“Following this decision, the NWC has appointed their respective deputies to serve in an acting capacity starting Friday, October 11, 2024. The acting officials are Ibrahim Abdullahi Manga as Acting National Publicity Secretary and Okechukwu Osuoha as Acting National Legal Adviser.”
