Former Kaduna Central Senator Shehu Sani remarked that only divine intervention can resolve the crisis in Rivers State. He stated on X platform, “Rivers State is now in God’s hands to resolve.”

The political tension in Rivers State escalated after Governor Sim Fubara took office. He and his predecessor, Nyesom Wike, are locked in a power struggle over political dominance in the state. This dispute has resulted in the emergence of two competing speakers, Martin Amaewhule and Victor Oko-Jumbo. Previous efforts by President Bola Tinubu to intervene in the situation did not achieve the desired outcome.
