Frazer Clarke Expresses Confidence in Replicating Tetteh Victory Against Jeamie TKV
Frazer Clarke has backed himself to record a second successive one‑round stoppage when he faces Jeamie TKV on October 25 at the Utilita Live Arena (Vaillant Arena) in Derby. The British heavyweight clash will be shown live on BBC Two, marking the start of Boxxer’s new broadcast partnership with the BBC.
The 34‑year‑old Olympic bronze medallist — who earned his medal at the Tokyo Games — is no stranger to high‑profile fights. Clarke was part of a brutal domestic rivalry with Fabio Wardley: their first meeting at the O2 in March 2023 finished as a draw, while the Riyadh rematch later that year ended in a first‑round KO defeat for Clarke. He responded strongly earlier this year with a one‑round stoppage of Ghana’s Ebenezer Tetteh.
Speaking to Boxing News, Clarke dismissed criticism of the Tetteh win and pointed to Dillian Whyte’s earlier difficulty with the same opponent as context.
“People have short memories. They see it’s Ebenezer Tetteh and moan, but Dillian Whyte struggled with him last December. I knocked him out in one round — it wasn’t even a great win, but I do what I have to do. It didn’t matter who was in front of me, I was going to take him out that day. I’ll do the same on the 25th.”
Clarke’s confident prediction sets up a high‑stakes domestic showdown with TKV (8‑2, 5 KOs), who has his own motivations after a controversial stoppage defeat in April and a disrupted path to a rematch. With the Lonsdale belt on the line and terrestrial TV exposure, the bout is poised to be one of the biggest domestic heavyweight events of the autumn.
