Chelsea’s pursuit of Osimhen comes to an end as the striker agrees to a €13 million contract.

Napoli’s forward, Victor Osimhen, is on the verge of a €120 million (£103m/$129m) move to Paris Saint-Germain, dealing a blow to Chelsea’s transfer aspirations.

Several top European clubs were interested in the Super Eagles striker, but negotiations between Napoli and PSG are now in an advanced stage, with PSG aiming to beat out competitors like Chelsea.

PSG intends to activate Osimhen’s €120 million release clause and offer him a four-year contract worth €13 million (£11m/$14m) per season.

Chelsea’s financial limitations and the need to comply with the Premier League’s Profit & Sustainability Regulations led them to withdraw from the bidding.
