Croatia captain Luka Modric became the second-most capped player in European history on Sunday. The Real Madrid veteran reached this milestone after leading Croatia to a 1-0 victory over Poland in their Nations League match.
The former Tottenham Hotspur star netted a second-half free-kick during the game at Opus Arena.
With this performance, the 39-year-old now has 180 appearances and 27 goals for Croatia.
Modric trails only Cristiano Ronaldo, who holds the European record with 213 caps for Portugal.
Ronaldo, currently playing for Saudi club Al Nassr, remains the most capped European player in history.
