The Katsina State Internal Revenue Service has launched a digital billing system called “Pay-by-Yourself” or “Biya da Kanka” to streamline taxation processes.

Sada Shu’aibu, the Director of Corporate Communication of the service, revealed this during an interview with journalists in Katsina on Thursday.

He emphasized the necessity of this measure to streamline tax payment and administration, ultimately boosting revenue generation.

The new system allows taxpayers to register with the service, check their tax status, and make direct payments to the government.

Taxpayers can conveniently register, calculate, and pay their dues using their mobile phones or laptops with the new system.

Its purpose is to eliminate revenue leakages, enabling the government to fund projects that directly benefit the people.
