Abuja Woman Allegedly Kills Husband, Dumps Body in Unfinished Building

A woman named Rahimat Salaum has reportedly been arrested for allegedly killing her husband in the Pegi area of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, confirmed the arrest in a statement on Tuesday. Adeh stated that Salaum was apprehended by Pegi Police Division operatives on Monday, July 29, 2024, while attempting to flee with her husband’s belongings.

During interrogation, Salaum admitted to killing her husband following a disagreement. She subsequently led the police to an unfinished building where she had discarded the severely burned body.

The investigation is ongoing, and Commissioner of Police, FCT, CP Benneth C. Igweh, assured that justice will be pursued. He also urged residents to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities.
