Brymo Criticizes Burna Boy, Davido, and Others for Jumping on Every Hit Song

Singer Brymo has urged top Nigerian artists like Burna Boy and Davido to stop remixing every trending song by rising acts.

On Instagram, Brymo criticized A-listers for leveraging the buzz of new artists’ hits under the pretense of helping them gain wider recognition.

He wrote, “Dear Nigerian mainstream ‘A-listers,’ Burna, Davido and Co, stop jumping on every hit song in a remix, especially releases by newer acts… Stop seeking relevance in the efforts of ones who know little about the business. It’s vile!”

Brymo’s remarks spark debate on mentorship versus opportunism in Nigeria’s music scene.
