American Hospital Dubai has announced the opening of a new representative office in Abuja, set to launch in December 2024. This office will act as a crucial liaison between the Dubai-based hospital and Nigerian patients, facilitating easier access to advanced medical care in Dubai.

This development follows the successful inauguration of the hospital’s first Nigerian office in Lagos on August 19, 2024. The Lagos office was inaugurated by Dr. Abdullah Al-Mandoos, UAE Consulate General in Nigeria, and Prof. Akin Abayomi, Lagos State Commissioner for Health, who represented Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

Prince Tonye Princewill, Board Member of American Hospital Dubai Nigeria Limited, emphasized the hospital’s commitment to expanding its presence in Nigeria. “We are establishing additional representative offices to enhance access to our services. Similar to the Lagos office, the Abuja office will function as a healthcare ‘embassy,’ bridging the gap between inquiries and travel to American Hospital Dubai for medical treatment. We value our Nigerian patients highly and aim to make their experience as seamless as possible,” Princewill said.

The Abuja office will, like its Lagos counterpart, assist Nigerian patients with visa arrangements, flight bookings, and accommodation, ensuring a smooth process for accessing world-class healthcare in Dubai. This expansion marks the first phase of American Hospital Dubai’s investment in Nigeria, with plans to introduce a state-of-the-art diagnostic center in the near future.
