Bandits Kidnap 150 Residents from Zamfara Community

Over the weekend, bandits abducted around 150 residents, including newborn babies, from Dan Isa community in Kauran Namoda local government area of Zamfara State. Additionally, over 30 others were kidnapped in Maradun Local Government Area during the same period.

BBC Hausa reported that the affected communities have been deserted in the aftermath of the incidents. According to a survivor, the bandits raided Dan Isa, resulting in the deaths of three locals and the theft of livestock and other animals.

When reached for comment, Mr. Yazid Abubakar, spokesperson for the Zamfara State Police Command, stated that they had not yet received information regarding the kidnapping incidents.
