Benue Community Attacked by Herdsmen

Suspected armed Fulani herdsmen are currently attacking Tyo-tu community in Makurdi, the capital of Benue State.

Tyo-tu is situated along Gboko Road in Makurdi.

Benue-born blogger, social media influencer, activist, and humanitarian Ukan Kurugh reported that the attack was ongoing and urged security agencies to swiftly deploy personnel to address the situation.

“There is an attack right now at Tyo-tu along Gboko Road by suspected herdsmen. The security agencies should act fast while travellers are advised to ply that road with caution now,” Kurugh posted on his Facebook wall.

Attacks, kidnappings, and killings by suspected Fulani herdsmen have become daily occurrences in Benue State, defying all solutions so far.
