Police nab members of State Security Network over alleged murder in Edo

Operatives of the Edo State Police Command have arrested several members of the Edo State Security Network (ESSN) in connection with the death of Omobude.

According to Nigeria News 24/7, the Commissioner of Police in Edo State, Funsho Adegboye, informed reporters in Benin about the arrests. Adegboye explained that the ESSN members were summoned by Hassan Haladu during a fight with the deceased. Upon arriving at the scene, the ESSN members tied up Omobude, who subsequently died from suffocation.

Adegboye also announced the arrest of Akhere Solomon, an alleged serial killer involved in recent secret cult-related murders in the state. Solomon’s arrest followed an investigation into a murder reported by Samuel, who claimed his brother was shot dead by suspected cultists. The police acted on this report, apprehending Solomon, who confessed to being a member of the Eiye secret cult and participating in the recent killings. Efforts are ongoing to arrest other fleeing members.
