The Take It Back Movement, a prominent organizer of the EndBadGovernance nationwide protest, has announced plans for a one-million-man protest across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, scheduled for Saturday.

Mr. Sanyaolu Juwon, the National Coordinator of the movement, made this announcement on Thursday in Abuja. He stated, “On August 10, the Take It Back Movement (TIB), in collaboration with other organizers and organizations, will lead a significant one-million-man protest in each of the 36 states of Nigeria and the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja.

“This protest will represent a crucial moment in our ongoing EndBadGovernanceInNigeria campaign, which commenced on August 1, 2024. What began as a planned 10-day protest has grown into a sustained and expansive movement, attracting participants from every part of Nigeria and the diaspora.”

NIGERIA NEWS 247reports that the protest, intended to highlight the hardships faced by citizens and draw attention to the failures of various levels of government, started on August 1 and is set to conclude on Saturday, August 10.

Despite being hijacked by criminal elements, the protest saw a large turnout nationwide, particularly in the northern states. Even after President Bola Tinubu’s nationwide address on Sunday, where he appealed to the protesters to step down and allow his administration more time, the demonstrations have continued in Abuja, Kano, and other parts of the country.
