Nasarawa Collaborates with Investors on New Projects
The Nasarawa State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to partnering with investors interested in initiating projects within the state.
The government also praised Hasetins Commodities Limited, a mining company, for undertaking projects that benefit the local communities where it operates.
Governor Abdullahi Sule expressed this commendation during the launch of road construction and borehole drilling in Uke, a community in Karu Local Government Area. Represented by the Commissioner for Environment and Solid Minerals, Kwanta Yakubu, the Governor urged other companies in the state to follow Hasetins’ example of implementing projects in their host communities.
He highlighted that the projects in Uke align with the state government’s seven-point agenda and President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, aiming to improve the lives of rural residents.
“I commend Hasetins because this is the kind of investment and industrialization we are seeking,” said Governor Sule. “They are not only building facilities but also employing about 80 percent of our indigenes. We will continue to visit and inspect these projects to support them.”
Peter Butt, Hasetins’ Director of Corporate Affairs, noted that these projects are part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives.
Additionally, the Sarkin Uke, His Highness Ahmed Abdullahi, pledged the community’s full support and cooperation towards achieving the company’s objectives.
