Edo Police Arrest 30-Year-Old Suspect, Recover Stolen Pickup Van

The Edo State Police Command has arrested a 30-year-old man, Friday Bassey, for allegedly stealing a Toyota Hilux pickup van.

According to a statement by the Command’s spokesperson, Moses Yamu, officers from the Aduwawa Divisional Police Station apprehended the suspect during an intelligence-led operation. The white Hilux van, bearing registration number EDO 757 EA, was also recovered.

The vehicle was reportedly stolen on April 14, 2025, around 5:50 a.m. from where it was parked on Palace Road, Uteh, off Upper Mission Extension.

Yamu noted that the suspect has made useful statements, and investigations are ongoing.
