BREAKING: Security Forces Disperse Protesters in Abuja, Detain Three

On Monday, security forces dispersed protesters in the Karu area of the Federal Capital Territory as they were gathering. The authorities fired tear gas and made three arrests.

One of the protesters, Yahaya Abdullahi, reported that the security agents aggressively broke up the assembly.

“We were just assembling when the police and other security agents began tear-gassing us and arrested several people. We currently know of three arrests,” Abdullahi said.
