Protesters have resumed their demonstrations in the Federal Capital Territory on Saturday after a brief period of calm. The protest, which had paused due to raids on residences and the arrest of its organizers, is now back in full swing.

The protest, which began on August 1, is expected to culminate today with a one-million-man march across the country.

On Friday, our correspondent observed a significant increase in the presence of security operatives in the Central Business District areas, as well as at Eagles Square, where security has been notably heightened compared to the past three days.

On Saturday, the protesters, who started their demonstration as early as 7 a.m., chanted slogans such as “End hunger” and “Reverse fuel subsidy removal,” among others.
