I’ve activated steps to secure Nnamdi Kanu’s release – Gov Otti

Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has revealed that he has “activated” measures aimed at securing the release of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), who was sentenced to life imprisonment by the Federal High Court in Abuja on November 20.

Otti stated that steps to work toward Kanu’s freedom were initiated even while the trial was ongoing. He added that he has communicated some of the agreements reached with “the highest authorities” in the country during a visit to Kanu in DSS custody. The governor affirmed that he will continue to pursue the strategy until Kanu’s release is achieved.
