The Minister of Works, David Umahi, abruptly left a press conference in Abuja on Tuesday

The Minister of Works, David Umahi, abruptly left a press conference in Abuja on Tuesday, asserting that the press was nonexistent.

Despite journalists waiting for over 50 minutes, Umahi ended the meeting shortly after arriving at 2:50 pm, stating,

“There is no press here. The press conference is not held again.” He then proceeded to his office without further explanation or apology, accompanied by other directors.

Invited reporters from various media outlets, including Nigeria News 247,  The Nation, The Guardian, Vanguard, and others, were surprised by Umahi’s sudden departure.
