The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has assured that agents of President Bola Tinubu‘s administration are fully committed to delivering the “Renewed Hope” mandate in Abuja.

Speaking on Monday during the flag-off ceremony for the construction of access roads ILS 02 and ILS 03 (Timipre Sylva Street) in the Mabushi District of Abuja, Wike reiterated that the President’s vision for the capital city would be fully realized.

He said: “We thank God Almighty for the opportunity to commence the construction of this very important road. In terms of infrastructure, Abuja will soon compete with other world-class cities.”

“Let’s continue to appreciate Mr President for his love and commitment to developing our capital city. Our role is to support and implement everything the President has outlined under the Renewed Hope agenda,” he said. Wike also responded to criticisms about the government’s focus on road construction.

“Many people have accused us of constructing roads. But that’s a good thing—at least it shows something tangible is happening,” he remarked.
