The Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, has today Saturday 17 August, 2024 paid condolence visit to the family of the late Tor Jechira, His Royal Highness Chief Clement Uganden.

According to report from Isaac Uzaan, the Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, has described the passing of Tor Jechira, His Royal Highness Chief Clement Uganden, as a significant loss not only to the state but to humanity as a whole.

The Governor made this statement on Saturday, August 17, 2024, in Vandeikya, while addressing the press after inspecting the ongoing work at the cemetery of first-class chiefs in Vandeikya.

Governor Alia also signed the memorial guest book, offering his condolences to the bereaved family. He shared comforting words and fond memories of the late chief in anticipation of the burial scheduled for Wednesday, August 21, 2024.

He emphasized that the death of His Royal Highness, the late Clement Uganden, is a monumental loss to humanity.

He praised the late chief for his virtues of peace, selflessness, and philanthropy, highlighting his unwavering commitment to enhancing the traditional institution in Jechira.

The Governor expressed his gratitude to the Central Planning Committee for their steadfast dedication to ensuring that the late monarch receives a fitting burial.

The Caretaker Chairman of Vandeikya Local Government and Chairman of the Central Planning Committee, Hon. Dennis Guda, confirmed that all necessary arrangements were being made to ensure a smooth burial ceremony.
