Gov. Alia Approves New Appointments Across Benue State Parastatals

The Executive Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, has approved a fresh round of appointments into various parastatals across the state, in a move aimed at enhancing service delivery, institutional efficiency, and public sector accountability.

According to a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Tersoo Kula, the appointments are part of the Governor’s broader commitment to repositioning government institutions for optimal performance.

The newly appointed officials were selected based on proven records of competence, integrity, and dedication to public service.

Governor Alia congratulated the appointees and urged them to discharge their duties diligently and in line with his administration’s transformative agenda for Benue State.

Meanwhile, the current Acting Executive Secretary of the Teaching Service Board and the Acting Chairman of the Benue Internal Revenue Service have been directed to report to the Head of Service for reassignment to other responsibilities. Similarly, the Acting General Manager of BENSESSA has been instructed to report back to the Governor’s Office.

The appointments will take effect from July 7, 2025.
