I will keep dancing, it doesn’t affect my work – Gov Adeleke
Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has insisted that he will continue dancing, saying it does not interfere with his official duties.
Governor Adeleke made the remarks on Wednesday during an appearance on Politics Today, a programme on Channels Television, as reported by NIGERIA NEWS 247. Known for his energetic dance moves during his time as a senator—earning him the nickname “Dancing Senator”—Adeleke emphasized that dancing is his way of relaxing and praising God.
“Let me tell you something. I will keep dancing because I love to dance, I love to praise my God. That doesn’t change anything. Everybody has their way of relaxing or a hobby. My hobby is to dance and praise my God. That does not affect my work,” he said.
The governor recently switched political parties, resigning from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and joining the Accord Party on Tuesday evening ahead of the 2026 Osun State gubernatorial election. On Wednesday, the Accord Party officially gave him its gubernatorial ticket during its primaries in Osogbo.
