Elton John Announces Retirement from Touring

Legendary British singer Elton John has confirmed his retirement from touring.

The 77-year-old announced in a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight that he will never tour again. His final show was in July, in Stockholm, Sweden.

“The last show in Stockholm on the farewell tour after Glastonbury, I got in the car and went, ‘Yes! yes!’ We went out on the biggest high, just the way I wanted to, and there’s no going back [after] that,” he said.

Elton John’s farewell tour, which ended early last year, brought in $939 million (£749 million) over 328 shows, making it the highest-grossing music tour in history before being overtaken by Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras’ tour, which earned $1 billion in revenue.
