Ebonyi Govt Responds Swiftly to Pentagon Hostel Collapse at AE-FUNAI

The Commissioner for Capital City Development, Chief Sunday Inyima, has taken immediate action following the collapse of the Pentagon Hostel at Alex Ekwueme Federal University, which occurred yesterday.

Accompanied by his team, Chief Inyima visited the site, which has since been sealed and cordoned off to restrict unauthorized access and protect public safety.

A full-scale investigation is now underway. This includes forensic analysis of the site, structural engineering evaluations, and interviews with all relevant project stakeholders to determine the cause of the incident.

Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru has reiterated the importance of engaging certified professionals for construction projects across the state. He emphasized that strict adherence to building standards is critical to preventing such occurrences.
