Lagos SUBEB opens recruitment portal for qualified teachers – Here’s How to Apply

The Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (LASUBEB) has officially launched its recruitment exercise for qualified candidates seeking teaching positions within the state.

In a statement released by LASUBEB’s Executive Chairman, the Board confirmed that the recruitment has received the approval of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and aligns with the state government’s commitment to improving the quality of education.

“With the kind approval of Mr. Governor, the Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (LASUBEB) hereby announces the activation of its application portal for interested and qualified candidates who are ready to contribute to the delivery of quality education in the state,” the statement read.

Application Process

Applications must be submitted online only via the official recruitment portal: https://subebjobs.lagosstate.gov.ng
Physical submissions will not be accepted.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must hold one of the following qualifications:

• Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE)

• B.A (Ed), B.Sc (Ed), B.Ed

• HND + Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE)

• B.A or B.Sc + PGDE

• M.Ed / M.Sc (Ed)

Additional documents to be uploaded include:

• O’ Level Certificate (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB)

• NCE or Degree Certificate

• NYSC Discharge or Exemption Certificate (where applicable)

Note: Notification or statement of results issued over two years ago will not be accepted.

• Position: Classroom Teacher

• Application Deadline: October 13, 2025

• Portal Closure: October 14, 2025
