Davido Condemns Kwara Church Attack, Kebbi Girls’ Abduction: “No Family Deserves This Pain”
Popular Nigerian musician Davido has condemned the recent abduction of schoolgirls in Kebbi State and the deadly attack on a church in Kwara State.
NIGERIA NEWS 247 reports that three people were killed during a programme at a branch of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) in Kwara on Tuesday evening, while several worshippers — including the pastor — were abducted. The incident occurred less than 24 hours after armed bandits kidnapped 25 female students from a secondary school in Kebbi State on Monday, November 17, 2025.
Reacting to the two incidents in a statement shared on X on Wednesday evening, Davido expressed deep distress over the growing insecurity in the country.
“My heart goes out to the young girls kidnapped in Kebbi and their families. No family deserves this pain,” he said, stressing that such acts of violence must never be allowed to become normal in Nigeria.
He added that the nation must remain united in the pursuit of a country where every child can live in safety and hope.
Davido also lamented the church attack in Kwara State, saying: “I am deeply saddened by the tragic attack on the church in Kwara State. I pray for the families who lost loved ones and everyone affected by this heartbreaking incident.”
He called for intensified efforts to secure the release of the abducted girls and urged anyone with useful information to come forward through safe and responsible channels.
“May God comfort the grieving families in Kwara, bring peace to our nation, and put every sponsor of violence and disorder to shame,” he concluded.
