Gunmen abduct Community leader’s Family members of  in Niger State

At least four members of a family were abducted on the evening of July 14 in Tungan-Mangoro village, located in the Nasko area of Niger State.

The victims—identified as Abbas Danlami, Jamila Dan’as Médio, Samaila Dan’asibi, and Naja—are relatives of a local community leader, Alhaji Danlami. According to eyewitnesses, a group of heavily armed gunmen stormed Danlami’s residence around 7:00 p.m., seizing the four individuals.

The attackers, who reportedly operated in large numbers, remained in the area for nearly an hour. Sources told Zagazola Makama that the gunmen initially appeared poised to launch a broader assault on the community but ultimately fled the scene with the abducted victims.

Security agencies have since launched a search and rescue operation aimed at securing the safe return of the victims and apprehending those responsible for the attack.
