Gunmen Kill One, Injure One, Kidnap Ten in Bauchi State Village Attack
Armed men attacked Dogon Ruwa village in Alkaleri Local Government Area of Bauchi State in the early hours of Saturday, killing one person, injuring another, and abducting ten residents.
The attack occurred around 3:25 a.m. and involved around 30 gunmen who stormed the village, fired shots into the air, looted valuables, and took villagers into the surrounding forest.
Security analyst Zagazola Makama reported on X that two victims—67-year-old Sallau Mun and 40-year-old Alhaji Gambo—were shot during the assault. Mun later died at Duguri General Hospital, while Gambo remains in critical condition.
In response, security forces, including the military, police, vigilantes, and local hunters, have been mobilized for search-and-rescue operations and to track down the perpetrators.
