Oba Isiaka Sadiku Lawal, the traditional ruler of Sagbe community near Oke-Ode in Ifelodun LGA, Kwara State, has issued a heartfelt plea to the state government, local authorities, and the Nigerian Army’s Sobi Cantonment to intervene urgently amid escalating bandit attacks.

In a viral audio message, Oba Lawal revealed that seven communities — Ologoma, Ajegunle, Igbo-Agbon, Alabadera, Owode, Alasoro, and Alawo — have been abandoned as residents flee for safety. He added that bandits recently raided Bankole community, killing one person, rustling cattle, and abducting an unconfirmed number of people.

Highlighting the absence of any police or security presence in Sagbe, the monarch lamented that local vigilantes are overwhelmed and unable to secure the communities.
