Adamawa police operatives track down bag snatchers, arrest 2
Police operatives in Adamawa State have apprehended two suspected bag snatchers involved in an incident where a female youth corps member was victimized.
According to SP Suleiman Nguroje, the state Police Public Relations Officer, the incident occurred in the Mubi North Local Government Area of northern Adamawa. Nguroje disclosed in a statement obtained by DAILY POST on Saturday morning that on June 10, 2024, Paulina Ayuba, a corps member, reported to the police that between 6 and 7 pm, four young boys in a tricycle forcefully snatched her phone while she was walking beside the road.
Nguroje identified the arrested suspects as 18-year-old Aminu Aliyu and 18-year-old Salisu Muhammed, both from Kasuwan Borkono, Mubi. He further mentioned that two other suspects managed to evade arrest.
“The stolen phone and the tricycle used in the crime were recovered, and investigations are ongoing to locate and apprehend the fleeing suspects,” Nguroje added.
