Four Individuals Apprehended for Burglary in Edo State
The Edo State Police Command apprehended four individuals suspected of breaking into an apartment in Benin City and pilfering property valued at N15 million. Commissioner of Police Funsho Adegboye revealed this development to journalists in Benin City, stating that the suspects were nabbed by operatives from the Ekiadolor Divisional Headquarters.
Identified as Sunday Ehiosu, Patrick Okon (26), Godswill Omorege (23), and Malik Shola (26), the suspects were implicated in the burglary. According to Adegboye, the complaint was lodged by an unnamed individual upon returning from a trip to find their apartment ransacked and valuables missing.
Following meticulous investigation, Sunday Ehiosu was apprehended while attempting to sell the stolen items. Subsequently, the case was transferred to the Command Crack Team, resulting in the arrest of Patrick Okon, Godswill Omorege, and Malik Shola, all of whom confessed to their involvement in the crime.
Commissioner Adegboye confirmed that the suspects provided statements admitting to their actions and will face prosecution in due course.
