Gunmen launched an assault on the Ohaukwu Police Division situated in Ezzamgbo, the administrative center of Ohaukwu Council Area in Ebonyi state.

There were no reported injuries as the on-duty police officers bravely defended against and repelled the attack. Despite this, the assailants managed to set fire to several operational vehicles at the station. The 8 gunmen arrived in a bus and initiated gunfire, creating chaos in the vicinity.

Prince Ikechukwu Odono, the chairman of Ohaukwu Local Government Area, verified the assault and mentioned that although no lives were lost, the attackers set fire to several police vehicles.
