“I am determined to render Osun unsafe for criminals,” vows Amotekun Corps Commander Omoyele
CSP Isaac Omoyele (rtd), the Corps Commander of the Osun Security Network Agency, Amotekun Osun, has pledged to make Osun State inhospitable for criminals and ensure that no criminal operating within the state escapes justice.
Omoyele issued this warning in an interview with NIGERIA NEWS 247, following his screening by the Osun State House of Assembly on Tuesday. He emphasized his extensive experience in crime fighting in Osun, dating back to his tenure with the Nigeria Police, and reaffirmed his commitment to maintaining peace across the state.
“The peace Osun State enjoys today is a result of our collective efforts, and I have been integral to this team,” Omoyele said. “We successfully tackled cross-border crimes, including kidnapping and armed robbery, making it challenging for criminals to operate in Osun, forcing them to flee.”
He stressed that criminals are aware of his presence and the consequences of their actions. “They know there is someone who will apprehend them when they commit crimes. They won’t dare to come to Osun because they know they won’t leave alive,” he added.
Omoyele outlined his strategy, stating that he has obtained the state map from the Surveyor General and is working on it to develop effective strategies. “We are determined not to let any criminal escape from Osun. Our goal is also to foster collaboration among all security agencies in the state,” he said.
Acknowledging the challenges ahead, Omoyele emphasized that failure is not an option for him. He also expressed support for the establishment of state police, asserting, “State policing is the way forward, and we are fully prepared to implement it.”
