The Kwara State Police Command has started enforcing regulations on tinted glass permits for vehicles across the state.

In a statement issued on Thursday in Ilorin, the command’s spokesperson, SP Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi, announced that Deputy Commissioner of Police Ladi Suleiman, who oversees Operations, has been tasked by Commissioner of Police Adekimi Ojo to coordinate and supervise the enforcement exercise.

The exercise, carried out in line with existing laws and directives, targets all vehicles with tinted glass, whether factory-installed or added afterward. The enforcement will be conducted professionally throughout Kwara State.

The statement also urged those unwilling to obtain permits to remove their tinted glasses or replace factory-fitted tints with transparent ones to comply with legal standards.

Additionally, the commissioner warned of strict enforcement against unauthorized use of sirens, revolving lights, obscured or covered number plates by unauthorized individuals, and the operation of unregistered vehicles within the state.
