Abia State Commissioner of Police, CP Danladi Isa, along with his team, visited the Lokpanta cattle market in Umunneochi LGA and Eziama Nunya community in Isuikwuato LGA for an on-the-spot assessment following a recent attack by unidentified assailants. The attack left one person injured, and 65 cattle were reported missing.

During the visit, CP Isa expressed his sympathies to the community and reassured them of the police’s commitment to bringing the attackers to justice. He urged residents to remain calm, avoid taking matters into their own hands, and cooperate with the ongoing investigation.

A statement by ASP Maureen Chinaka, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), confirmed that 56 out of the 65 missing cattle had been recovered in collaboration with local guards from Seriki Hausa. Efforts are ongoing to recover the remaining cattle and apprehend the culprits.
