The Katsina State government has lifted the curfew imposed after the #EndBadGovernance protest was hijacked by miscreants who damaged public property.

This announcement was made on Tuesday in Katsina by Abdullahi Aliyu-Yar’adua, the Director of Press for the Office of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG).

He stated, “Following reports of prevailing peace and harmony across the state, the acting governor, Malam Faruk Lawal-Jobe, has lifted the curfew with immediate effect.”

The state government also urged residents to report any suspicious activities to the authorities for prompt action and reiterated its commitment to addressing the state’s security challenges.

The acting governor expressed gratitude to the security agencies and the people of Katsina for their support and understanding. He also called for continued cooperation, support, and prayers for peace, emphasizing that “no meaningful development can be achieved in an atmosphere of insecurity.”
