Tight Security in Ibadan Ahead of Oba Ladoja’s Coronation as 44th Olubadan

A heavy security presence has enveloped the Oyo State capital as preparations reach a climax for the coronation of Oba Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja, former governor of Oyo State, as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.

The event, scheduled to take place today at the historic Mapo Hall, has prompted the deployment of various security agencies across key locations in the city.

Personnel from the Nigerian Army, Nigeria Police Force, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Western Nigeria Security Network (Amotekun), Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), and other security outfits have been strategically positioned to maintain order and ensure safety throughout the ceremony.

A correspondent for NIGERIA NEWS 247 on the ground reports that security operatives have cordoned off major routes leading to the venue, making access difficult for attendees, including members of the press.

As of the time of filing this report, several journalists were still struggling to gain entry into the coronation venue due to tight security protocols.
