273 Army Officers Begin Senior Staff Qualifying Examination

On Sunday, 273 Army officers commenced a week-long Senior Staff Course Qualifying Examination (SSCQE) at the Jaji Military Cantonment in Kaduna State.

According to NIGERIA NEWS 247, the examination is organized by the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) of the Nigerian Army.

Maj.-Gen. Kelvin Aligbe, President of the Examination Board and Commander of TRADOC, stated that the examination is a key prerequisite for officers seeking to attend the Senior Staff Course at the Armed Forces Command and Staff College (AFCSC) in Jaji, as well as other staff colleges abroad.

Aligbe noted, “While most of you are taking this exam for the first time, others are on their second or third attempt.”

He assured all participants that success in the examination could be achieved without resorting to any illegal or fraudulent means.

Aligbe emphasized that a team of competent and dedicated examination panel members had diligently prepared for the exercise over the past week.

“They have put together what I consider fair and reasonable requirements and solutions for this examination,” he said. “These requirements are attainable for any serious-minded candidate.”

Aligbe highlighted that the outcome of this examination is crucial for the officers’ career progression in the Nigerian Army.

“It is essential that you all approach this examination with the seriousness and determination needed to achieve the best results,” he added. “I also assure you of the absolute integrity and fairness of the examination panel and the Directing Staff (DS).”
