CJN Approves Justice Babatunde Adejumo as New Administrator of National Judicial Institute

The Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, has approved the appointment of Justice Babatunde Adeniran Adejumo as the new Administrator of the National Judicial Institute (NJI), effective August 1, 2025.

Justice Adejumo, a former President of the National Industrial Court of Nigeria, will succeed Justice Salisu Garba Abdullahi, whose four-year tenure as Administrator concludes on July 31, 2025. The appointment follows the endorsement of Justice Adejumo by the NJI Board of Governors, chaired by the CJN.

The appointment was made in accordance with the provisions of the National Judicial Institute Act, after due consultation with the Board of Governors.

Justice Kekere-Ekun expressed gratitude to the outgoing Administrator for his dedicated service and significant contributions to the development of the NJI and the Nigerian judiciary.
