Eid el-Fitr: NSCDC deploys 40,000 personnel nationwide

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has announced plans to deploy 40,000 personnel to ensure adequate security nationwide during the Eid el-Fitr celebration.

NSCDC spokesperson, CSC Babawale Afolabi, stated on Monday in Abuja that the deployment is aimed at proactive measures.

In a statement, Afolabi mentioned that NSCDC Commandant General, Ahmed Audi, has instructed state commandants to dispatch personnel to strategic locations and flash points.

He added that the NSCDC would employ both kinetic and non-kinetic approaches to prevent all forms of criminal activities before, during, and after the Eid el-Fitr celebration in various states.
