On Thursday, a morning exploration of Lokoja, the capital city of Kogi State, showed no indications of protests. According to NIGERIA NEWS 247, the locations examined were devoid of any crowds.

At the well-known post office situated on the Lokoja-Kabba Okene road, shopkeepers were observed tentatively opening their stores halfway, taking care to evaluate the safety conditions before fully operating.

Security forces, comprising police, civil defense agents, and community watch groups, were seen monitoring important areas across the town.

At the entrance of the National Youth Council of Nigeria’s Secretariat, law enforcement officials were positioned to oversee the comings and goings of people attending the state-sponsored engagement event.
