#EndBadGovernanceInNigeria: Police fire tear gas at protesters in Kano
On Thursday, in the northern city of Kano, Nigerian police used tear gas to disperse a crowd of several hundred individuals demonstrating against rising living costs, according to an AFP correspondent present.
As demonstrators attempted to ignite bonfires near the governor’s office, law enforcement intervened with tear gas, forcing many protesters to retreat. Similar protests were taking place in Lagos and Abuja, the nation’s capital.
