Gov. Uba Sani Hails Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda as National Rescue Plan
Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has described President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda as more than a political slogan, calling it a structured national rescue plan aimed at restoring macroeconomic stability, boosting production, creating jobs, and reducing poverty.
Speaking as the Chief Host at the 65th Independence Anniversary Lecture organized by Arewa Think Tank, themed “The Journey So Far with the Renewed Hope Agenda in View”, Governor Sani emphasized that the Agenda seeks to create an environment where enterprises thrive, capital gains confidence, and all Nigerians can pursue dignity and prosperity regardless of background.
He said Kaduna State has fully embraced the spirit of the Agenda, completing several abandoned projects and nearing the completion of others. According to the governor, the initiative is already generating visible impacts across the economy and socio-political landscape, including:
-
Fiscal reforms and security improvements
-
Educational expansion
-
Infrastructure renewal
He highlighted a “quiet renaissance” in the North, with roads and bridges connecting communities, markets reawakening, and rural economies experiencing a revival. In agriculture, he noted transformative changes, including solar-powered irrigation, mechanized farming, and climate-smart innovations driving agribusiness. He stated that no previous administration has empowered subnational governments in agricultural transformation as extensively as President Tinubu’s.
Governor Sani stressed that his efforts to complete abandoned projects are driven by a commitment to restore faith in governance, focusing on enduring institutions rather than temporary monuments. He reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to inclusion, discipline, and accountability, aiming to make Kaduna State a model of pragmatic reform and human-centered development within Nigeria.
