National Grid Suffers Another Collapse

The national electricity grid experienced another collapse on Monday, causing outages in some areas of the country.

An official from the Transmission Company of Nigeria confirmed the incident, describing it as a partial collapse. The official, who requested anonymity due to lack of authorization to speak to the media, mentioned that power restoration efforts are underway.

Our correspondent noted that total power generation dropped to zero at 1:33 pm on Monday. This marks the fifth grid collapse in 2024.
